Mon Syllabus

A British Judo Association Mon Grading is for boys and girls aged 8 to 15 years who hold WJA/BJA membership and is an examination to determine the judo ability of the candidate

Instructions To Grading Candidates

1. You must complete the 'theory' section before entering the competitive section of any grading.

2. You must learn and demonstrate to the Examiner three items for each Mon Grade (one throw, one grappling technique and one referee's call).

3. You may choose any item from the syllabus to complete your 'theory' - the techniques and referee's words may be presented in whatever order you wish.

4. Simply mark which item(s) you wish to present in the first column and hand your card to the Examiner.  The examiner will then test your knowledge of these items.

5. Note that the Examiner may also test you on any other items which you have previously completed.  You must practice all the throws and holds and remember all the referee's terms which you have recorder on your 'theory' card.
