Novice To 9th Kyu (Yellow):

Techniques:
O-goshi	Major Hip Throw
Kuzure-kesa-gatame	Broken Scarf hold
Ude-garami	Figure 4 Armlock
Terminology:
Matte	Wait. Stop the contest.
Hajime	(Re)Start the contest.
Osae-komi	Hold down, start the clock.
Toketa	Hold down broken, stop the clock.

To 8th Kyu (Lower Orange):

Techniques:
Tsuri-komi-goshi	Lift-pull hip throw
O-uchi-gari	Major inner reeping throw
Escape	From between opponents legs into a hold down
Terminology:
Prohibited acts	Quote 2 prohibited acts
Sono-mama	Freeze! (don't move).
Yoshi	Continue (used after sono-mama)
Ippon	Knock out - ten point score.
Waza-ari	7 point score

To 7th Kyu (Upper Orange):

Techniques:
Ippon-seoi-nage	One-arm shoulder throw
Ko-uchi-gari	Minor inner reeping throw
Kuzure-kami-shiho-gatame	Broken upper four-corner hold
Hadaka-jime	Naked Strangle - then to be linked on the move.
Turnover	Turnover into a hold from underneath.
Terminology:
Prohibited acts	Quote 3 prohibited acts
Sore-made	End of contest.
Yuko	5 Point Score
Koka	3 Point Score
Waza-ari-awasete-ippon	Second Waza-ari obtained, two waza-ari score Ippon. (A compound knock-out win made from 2 waza-aris)

To 6th Kyu (Lower Green):

Techniques:
O-soto-gari	Major outer reap
Harai-goshi	Hip Sweep
Hon-kesa-gatame	Standard Scarf hold
Okuri-eri-jime	Sliding collar choke
Juji-gatame	Cross Armlock - then to be linked on the move
Arm Roll	Demonstrate two types of Arm Roll
Terminology:
Prohibited acts	Quote 4 prohibited acts
Hiki-wake	Draw, no winner.
Shido	3 point penalty (opponent is award a 3 point score)
Chui	5 point penalty (opponent is award a 5 point score) - No longer in use

To 5th Kyu (Upper Green):

Techniques:
Tai-otoshi	Body drop
Uchi-mata	Inner-thigh throw
Hon-yoko-shio-gatame	Standard side four quarters hold
Kata-gatame	Shoulder hold
Koshi-jime	Hip strangle
Waki-gatami	Armpit armlock - then to be linked on the move.
Escape	Demonstrate freeing of a trapped leg.
Terminology:
Prohibited acts	Quote 5 prohibited acts
Keikoku	7 point penalty (opponent is award a 7point score) - No longer in use
Hansoku-make	Disqualification
Referee Gestures	Show symbols for passivity and re-adjustment of judogi.

To 4th Kyu (Lower Blue):

Hiza-guruma	Knee wheel
Ushiro-kesa-gatame	Reverse scarf hold
